The WDS has formed the WDS Business Interest Group (BIG)

The interest group functions under the direction of the Business Interest Group Task Force, co-chaired by
Cheryl M. Burgess, MD and Carolyn I. Jacob and its task force committee members which include:

The Mission of this Interest Group is:

To accelerate mutual success by providing a forum for member-to-member sharing of ideas and information to those in private practice and those interested in going into private practice in the future.
To share information on practice demographics, trends, benefits, and comparative business information.
To provide a forum where members share best practices and insights, benchmarks programs, create tool kits to develop practical solutions for small businesses.
To share information and data to assist WDS members who are seeking potential business partners and vendors.
To share novel and innovative practices and techniques, instructional material, and lectures.
To share information and data to assist our members in interpretation of employment law and regulations and office management.
To share information on internet technology, web design, web promotion, marketing techniques, and e-commerce solutions for small businesses.
To share experiences and lessons learned in business development, management, family and life balance, career transitions and advancement, and retirement.

WDS members who express an interest in being part of this network may participate in breakfasts, retreats, e-mail communications, and other activities that this group elects to pursue.
